Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival

0

It was a beautiful weekend in Greenwich, NY for the 2nd annual SAFF.  This is a great festival for all you fiber enthusiasts who find Rhinebeck to be a bit overwhelming. The drive to Greenwich is very pretty, the fairgrounds is easily accessible, the crowd is small and there is no crowding or long lines for food (well, maybe for the excellent  ice cream – but nothing like the lines at Rhinebeck!).  There were over 100 vendors with a fabuolous selection of fibers, yarns, handcrafted products and accessories. The local 4-H group did a great job cooking breakfast and lunch. There was live music and there was entertainment for the kids.  All kinds of demos were offered including shearing, herding, rug hooking, spinning and more.

The 3rd annual festival will be held this same weekend in 2011 – check it out!  Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival
