It’s a beautiful, sunny and mild day. Perfect for spending time in the barn (unheated) and skirting alpaca fiber. I have way too much fiber still in the barn for this time of year. I need to continue to skirt and send the fiber off to the mill for processing into yarn. It’s important that I take advantage of these milder days. The barn needs to be empty before shearing again in April.

We received histogram results (fiber test data) for our yearling males. All seven tests came back under 20 microns – with the lowest at 13.8! That’s some fine, fine fiber!
