The first weekend in April was the combined North American Alpaca Show and Northeast Alpaca Expo in MA.  We’re very pleased with our 2 year old white male, Snowshoe Ammonoosuc, who took second place in both shows behind a spectacular male from Cas-Cad-Nac Farm. Like his two brothers before him, Ammo has very fine and dense fiber with well defined crimp. He has excellent coverage on a large, well-proportioned frame. We anticipate Ammonoosuc will hold his fineness as he matures, … Read More

Alpaca Shearing 2016

Done! This is our last victim…er, alpaca…of the day and we are finished shearing our herd.  Snowshoe Allegro, co-owned with Spirit Wind Farm, has the most lustrous fleece I’ve ever seen. I wish I had been able to get a better photo. I’ll give it another try when I skirt his fleece. We are very pleased with the fleeces from last year’s crias and can’t wait to see how they grow back over the summer. Shearing went very well due … Read More

Alpaca Roving

Attention handspinners: we’re getting ready to send alpaca fiber to the mill to be processed into roving. We’ve been busy washing and dyeing fiber and now have a nice selection of natural and hand dyed colors. These will be blended to make several different batches of multi-colored 100% alpaca roving. We’ll let you know as soon as the roving comes back from Sallie’s Fen Fibers. Our roving will be for sale on our website along with our alpaca yarn and alpaca … Read More

Spring!

While many alpaca breeders in the US are on their way home from our national alpaca show, some of us chose not to risk a drive to Indiana in March. This may have been a mild winter, but the chance of running into bad weather on that trip was certainly a deterrent for us. We are looking forward to our first alpaca shows of the season starting on April 1. The North American Alpaca Show and the Northeast Alpaca Expo … Read More

Sale – Daughter of Champions

Snowshoe FancyPants is a daughter of two champion alpacas. She gave birth to her first cria last year, a beautiful beige female we named Snowshoe Haiku. FancyPants is an excellent mother. She is an easy keeper and breeder. Her fiber is fine with good character and a soft handle. We’re very pleased with her cria and will very likely rebreed her to the same male, Snowshoe Pharoah. Now that her cria has been weaned, we are offering FancyPants at the … Read More

We knew we had another winner when this male was born three years ago. Snowshoe Ammonoosuc is growing up to be the spitting image of his big brothers, Snowshoe Aristides and Snowshoe Astraios. Both brothers are champions sporting beautiful fiber with lasting fineness. Now, at almost three years old, Ammonoosuc will take center stage in our breeding program. Check our Open Herd listing to read more about Ammonoosuc. To put the spotlight on Ammoonoosuc, we are offering a limited number of … Read More

Little Creek Farm, home of Accoyo America East, features elite huayaca alpacas with fine, uniform fleeces.  Aristides, at 7 years of age, still boasts a fine and crimpy fleece with a long staple.
