Snowshoe Farm is no longer open to casual visitors. Our herd has grown and so has our workload. If you are interested in raising alapcas or would like to see our alpaca fiber and yarn products, please give us a call!
Please take care if using a GPS or online service such a Mapquest to find our farm. You are very likely to be directed to use Field Rd which is an unmaintained Class 4 road. This road is often not passable due to mud or snow. We recommend you follow the directions below.
Snowshoe Farm is located in Peacham, Vermont, 8 miles west of I-91, about an hour north of the White River Junction, VT/Hanover, NH area and about 1-1/2 hours southeast of Burlington, VT.
Take Exit 18, Barnet-Peacham.
Head west towards South Peacham.
Continue about 6 miles to the stop sign in South Peacham.
The Bayley-Hazen Country Store (closed) is across the intersection.
Go straight (to the left of the store) onto Gov Mattocks Rd and follow to the end (about 3/4 mile).
Turn left onto County Rd.
Travel approx 2 miles to Snowshoe Farm, staying to left at fork in road
White house is on right with barns on both sides of the street.
In the village of Groton, follow the sign to Peacham and turn north onto Minard Hill Road.
Continue for 1-1/2 miles.
Bear left onto Great Road (dirt road).
Travel about 4 miles to Snowshoe Farm.
White house is on left with barns on both sides of the street.
In the village of Danville, follow the sign to Peacham and head south on the Peacham-Danville Road.
Continue through the village of Peacham into South Peacham.
At the 4-way intersection, the Bayley-Hazen Country Store (closed) will be on your right.
Turn right onto Gov Mattocks Rd and follow to the end (about 3/4 mile).
Turn left onto County Rd.
